Mayor Scott Furgeson said that huge cuts amounting to a $500,000 likely would be made in the parks and fire department budgets.
"When it's all said and done, I doubt if next year's budget is more than $700,000 more than this year's budget, and that will be a slight increase that we can live with," the mayor said.
