The Pirates are in first place in the Atlantic Division after a 3-1 win over the Lowell Lock Mosters on Sunday afternoon. Nathan Marsters made 31 saves and Joel Stepp, Zenon Konopka and Aaron Gavey all scored goals for the Pirates in the victory.
The Mighty Ducks of Anaheim announced today that the National Hockey League club has recalled center Aaron Gavey from the Portland Pirates.

Saturday, November 12 vs. Wilkes-Barre/Scranton - Gold medalist swimmer and Portland native, Ian Crocker will be at the game to meet fans and promote his new DVD "Unfiltered". Saturday will also be Salvation Army Kettle Kick-off Night.
Ticket plans are still available for the 2005-06 season at the Pirates office, located at 531 Congress Street in Portland. Ticket plans start at just $50. Wednesday, October 26 - The entire Pirates team will tour the Barbara Bush Children's Hospital at Maine Medical Center. The new Pirates players will have a chance to introduce themselves to the kids in the hospital and begin to build relationships with the kids and the Barbara Bush Children's Hospital staff.
Thursday, October 27th - Pirates players Joel Perrault and Pierre Parenteau will be at the Foreside Tavern in Falmouth from 6:30 - 8:00 p.m.
Ryan Shannon scored two goals for the Pirates en route to a 4-1 win.
