Man arrested for allegedly causing deadly hit and run accident...

(Kalamazoo, October 25, 2005, 1:16 p.m.) A man has been arrested after police say he caused a deadly hit and run accident in February.

The accident occurred in the 2600 block of East Kilgore Road in Kalamazoo.

Police say Christopher Hart was walking across the street when a vehicle driven by 23-year-old Chad Michael Jacob of Kalamazoo struck and killed him.

After an eight-month investigation and help from the Kalamazoo Crime Lab and some local auto parts dealers, officers were able to track down and arrest Jacob.

He has since confessed to the crime and is charged with leaving the scene of a fatal crash and driving while suspended causing death.
